SEEK TO FIND PEACE by Maria Kolovou Roumelioti
Greece
Today I will speak of an unborn love
that has been hatching since ancient centuries,
but has not yet come to light…
It always has its gaze fixed on the east…
and when it rains, it becomes a rainbow
that shines on the land of Olympus…
and spreads in the heart, like unread words,
on the pages of books.
It opens like a spring rose,
sprinkling the wounds with a divine fragrance,
brought from bygone eras.
Then my soul breaks into thousands of pieces…
and each piece is also made by a bird
that tears the skies,
searching everywhere for traces of unborn love,
holding her name in its beak:
PEACE!
Today the words, wait on paper.
They wait to become gardens of paradise.
The seeds that have been sown during the ice age:
They are impatient to take root‧
to bud, like the almond blossoms
that herald spring.
A gift to be given to our love
that our hearts are surrendered to her.
Like souls, united, like the rooted trees in the soil‧
like the wind that leaves no leaf unturned‧
like the air we breathe.
It blows everywhere, here!…
The tornado takes me in its vortex.
I spin….
My center, rooted in the Navel of the Earth‧
I collect oleanders‧
Enclosed in a secret sanctuary, to spell out:
“Nothing is hidden under the light of the sun.
And war, the work of barbarians, is‧
like a torrent always dragging and always carrying »
A lightning pierces the clouds‧
it is the birth of my love‧
the rain will wash away the blood caused by the pains!
Let us seek to find Peace and thousands around us will be saved!
